Bonanza Coffee Co. lives somewhere between the rain-soaked coffee culture of the Pacific Northwest and the sunbaked rhythm of the Sonoran Desert.

Seattle taught us that coffee is more than caffeine — it’s ritual, community, craft. That influence runs deep here. We proudly partner with Caffè Vita, roasting our coffee in Phoenix, bridging our roots with our desert home.

The name Bonanza is a nod to Arizona’s mining heritage — a strike worth celebrating — and to what we believe a great cup of coffee should feel like: liquid gold.

You’ll find us inside Hotel Arizona in downtown Tucson, sharing a patio with Lucky Penny BBQ and pouring from our walk-up window in the alley on the south side of the building. We’re here for your mornings — and just as intentionally, your nights.

Bonanza isn’t just a daytime café. We’re open late, leaning into the cooler desert evenings. Alongside espresso and brewed coffee, our menu features desert-inspired teas, house tonics, and a rotating lineup of thoughtful non-alcoholic cocktails — layered, refreshing, and built with care.

At the heart of the room is sound. Our custom-built hi-fi stereo system, designed and crafted by co-owner Brock Lynch, draws inspiration from Japanese jazz kissaten listening bars — spaces where music is meant to be experienced, not ignored. Rotating DJs spin desert-leaning sets that carry the energy from focused afternoons into late-night drift.

Bonanza is equal parts ritual and release.
